"KEEP THE FLAGS FLYING"
An important element to the total All Veterans Memorial experience was the opportunity to sponsor a flag in the Corridor of Flags. The Corridor of Flags outlines a broad outdoor room, the BNSF Memorial Plaza, between the Great Overland Station and the All Veterans Memorial. Fifty American flags proudly wave above the flags of our fifty states, signifying America's unity of spirit: E Pluribus Unum - "Out of many, one."Each 30-foot flagpole is accompanied by a limestone base with bronze plaque and will be lighted from below. The state flags, flying beneath historic American flags as configured at the time of the state's admission, forms a unique educational exhibit - the name of the state, the year it joined the Union, its capital, and other state-specific information is inscribed on the plaque. Each flagpole's sponsor is recognized on a separate bronze plaque at the base.

Your support is requested through your donations in any amount. Checks should be made to "Railroad Heritage - AVM Maintenance Fund" and sent to The Great Overland Station, 701 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66608. Donations are income tax deductible on both your State and Federal tax returns. Click here
The number of individuals and groups visiting the All Veterans Memorial is most impressive. Volunteers to serve as tour and informational guides are in demand. If you have an interest in the military or railroading, please answer the call to be a volunteer. The Coordinator of Volunteers at the Great Overland Station will assist in developing your escort skills and arrange duty schedules.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
